There is a nice selection of four inch Crescent types, bicycle and automobile wrenches. A few of the rare farm wrench names are: Tom Cat, Brown-Dallas buggy wrench, M B M Mfg. Red-E, Brinly Plows, a C338 marked P. Mast and many more.

There is probably the best selection of silo type wrenches we have ever had to offer. With over 2000 items there should be something for both advanced and beginning collectors of all kinds of antique wrenches.

BONNEY VISE & TOOL WKS MAR 3, 1908 PHILA (weak markings, not all readable) - - 15.75'.Wood handled threaded shaft type combination nut and pipe wrench with pipe cutter attachment.

Advertised as 'The Masterpiece'. Patented March 3, 1903 by Charles S. Bonney of Portsmouth, Ohio. Scarce large size. Good with some pitting, no patina.

GOODELL PRATT COMPANY - TOOL SMITHS - GREENFIELD, MASS - USA - - 9.5' aluminum handled nut wrench with dual threaded shafts. Excellent except for a small flaw on handle. ASBURY PATENT - CHAMPION - - - J. ASBURY WARRANTED - 10' all metal nut wrench with an unique adjustment screw mounted on the side of the curved handle. BORNSTEIN'S IMP WRENCH PAT. AUG 26, 1890 (some weak markings) - - 10' wood handled nut wrench with patented double screw action for fast adjustment with a locking collar. COES - WORCESTER, MASS. COES PAT'D AUG. 16, 1853 (weak markings on reverse side, not all readable) - - 12' Coes Double Screw Nut Wrench patented by Aury Coes. A very early desirable patented wrench with interesting adjustment mechanics that seldom comes up for sale. This is only the second I have had to list, one of the highlights of any antique wrench auction. Good with some dings, no patina. VAN DUIJL HOLLAND NO.

CLIPPER 14 / PATENT PENDING - - 15.5' malleable self adjust with replaceable jaw inserts. Good with some light pitting. Unmarked - 6' unusual center screw adjust nut wrench. May be shop made?

(not listed, no info) 0018. ARMSTRONG - BRIDGEPORT, CONN. / THE ARMSTRONG RAPID No. 27, 83 - - 11.75' rack type quick adjust with a lever for applying additional tightening pressure.

1879 patent was issued to Dan Foster of Waltham, MA, the 1883 to Frank Armstrong, Bridgeport, CT. Excellent original condition except for a letter 'H' punched over markings on one side. (S474, C42) 0019. AMERICAN WRENCH & SPECIALTIES CO CHICAGO USA / No. 10 - - 10' quick adjust nut wrench with cylinder on handle that releases and tightens lower jaw.

Good++ with most of the original nickel plating. 8 IN GEARENCH (sic) TRADEMARK - FORGED STEEL - PATENTED / GEARENCH MFG CO. - HOUSTON TEXAS - - 8.25' quick adjust patented by Joseph Peterson of College Station, Texas on 6-1-26. Very unusual caliper like mechanism with two handle shafts connected by two adjustment screws. (not listed, no info) 0022. PAT JAN 11, 1876 - JAN 9, 1877 - - 12' all metal cast malleable monkey wrench patented by O. North of New Haven, Conn. Scarce covered handle variant in a larger size than normally seen. Patented by Oliver B.

Lot of two: (1.) Unmarked - - 12' Taft's Railroad & Mowing Machine Wrench. A threaded shaft screw adjust nut wrench made by Geo. Taft in the 1850's and later by the Coes Brothers. Sometimes found with Taft's May 31, 1859 patent date. Good with some dings.

(S418, C295) (2.) Unmarked - - 8' Robinson Patent June16, 1885 Coes type monkey wrench with the adjusting screw supporting ferrule. Patented by Squire Robinson of Southington, CT. Good with some dings. Nice replacement handle. Lot of two: (1.) Unmarked - - 12' wood handled center screw adjust wrench similar to J.

Sanders 7-18-1882 patent mfg. Good+ with tight crack, no patina. (see S618, C270) (2.) UNION HARDWARE CO. - TORRINGTON, CONN. USA (some markings unreadable - - 10' Briggs's Pattern combination nut and pipe wood handled monkey wrench with hex adjusting nut. Good with some dings, no patina. Unmarked - - 17.5' self adjust pipe wrench.

Good+ with some light pitting, refinished. (not listed, no info) 0026. Unmarked - - 12.75' quick adjust two segment rack nut wrench with locking collar.

Crudely made, zealously cleaned. (not listed, no info) 0027. WILLIAMS ABCN-12 USA - - 14' pointed end construction (or spud) alignment wrench with Crescent type head.

Usually seen marked Klein, Williams brand is considerably rarer. Good+ with a couple edge dings.

(not listed) 0028. Marked only '1869' - - 14.75' screw adjust pipe wrench with a tightening lever. 1869 date refers to J.C. Rowe's patent No.

86,322 but Lucius O. Veber's (of Schuuyler's Lake, NY) patent of Aug. 10, 1875 is a better match. Good with minor dings, no patina. (S633, C315) 0029.

Unmarked - - 14 ' turn handle to adjust wrench with serrated jaws. Similar to wrenches found marked 'Ever Grip' which were patented. 9-7-1915 by William Estes of Ozark, Missouri. (see S626) 0030. GENUINE MCKIBB0N (etc.) / PAT.

NOS 1872780 - 1730671 - 1709589 - - 18' extra heavy duty adjustable alligator wrench with an unique sliding jaw and adjusting nut action. Made by the McKibbon Universal Wrench Co Nashville, Tennessee.

Joseph McKibbon of Columbia and Culleoka, Tennessee and later Los Angeles, CA. Received three patents for his pipe and nut wrench in 1929 and 1932.

The replaceable jaw insert is missing otherwise Good++. THE ARMSTRONG NO. 5 - PAT'D MAY 6, 84 / BRIDGEPORT, CONN. Rare center screw adjust pipe wrench, largest one I have seen. Patented by Nathaniel W. Vandegrift of Bridgeport, Conn.

Good with some grind marks on lower jaw, adjusting screw is stuck. HOE CORPORATION POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK, USA / PATENTS PENDING. 26' self adj. With spring loaded jaw.

Rare large size with replaceable lower jaw insert and a spring loaded latch that holds the jaws open that aren't found on the smaller sizes. Patented Aug. 21, 1928 by Robert Hoe of Poughkeepsie, NY.

(similar to S361) 0033. THE WAKEFIELD WRENCH WORCESTER, MASS - NO. JUNE 30, 91 - OTHER PATS. PENDING - - 25' rack wrench that adjusts with a spring loaded top lever with serrated jaw inserts.

Unmarked - - 10' example of 'Hewet's Union Wrench'. A wood handled nut wrench with a threaded hollow sleeve with a fluted grip patented by Henry Wheaton Hewet of New York, NY on Jan. 25, 1864 An early historically important wrench with a striking appearance. Good with some edge dings. Refinished metal, unreadable markings. Boston Wrench / Patent Dec 5, 1876 - - 10' center screw adjust nut and pipe wrench with open loop handle and serrated jaws. Patented by Daniel C.

CO - - 13' self adjust pipe or nut wrench with a spring loaded pivoting upper jaw. Design patent No. 143898 was issued to Archibald Brintnall of Denver, Colorado on Feb 19, 1946. Note: Marking variation also found marked RHINO WRENCH CO.

Excellent with original finish. TIGER GRIP MP'LS (MINNEAPOLIS) MINN. / DROP FORGED - PAT APLD - - 6' hinged end self adjusting alligator wrench. Excellent (S719) 0062. ATHOL MACHINE CO - ATHOL MASS - USA - - 6' all metal comb. Screw and quick adjust wrench with a spring loaded bar that releases the lower jaw from the screw threads.

Patented June 8, 1889 by Stephen Bellows of Athol, Mass. And advertised as the 'Rapid Transit Wrench' Good, pitted on reverse side, stamped former owner's initials (E.C.). (S526, C46) 0063. BOSTON, MASS - PAT JULY 7, SEPT 22, 1903 - OCT 3. 1905 - -15.5'.

Advertised as 'The Irland Automatic Pipe Wrench'. Uses a spring-loaded lever underneath the handle to open the upper jaw, which closes automatically. Patents were issued to David Irland of Chicago.
